Cloud Migration Update: Notification of Change in Tier One Vendor

To follow the Client Advisory on September 26, 2019, Cenlar’s cloud migration project is underway.  As a result of the migration of Cenlar’s data center infrastructure services to the Microsoft Azure cloud, we are ending our long-term relationship with Sungard Availability Services, effective February 29, 2020. The expiration of our contract with Sungard is fully aligned to Cenlar’s cloud migration.

The core Disaster Recovery (DR) services provided by Sungard are being replaced by the Microsoft Azure cloud and AT&T services, including the Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) implementation, which is occurring concurrently. Sungard will, however, continue to support Cenlar with DR services on an interim basis through the completion of the first wave of the migration and testing. Upon finishing the first wave to Azure, we will perform our annual Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Exercise.

During Q1 2020, we will distribute our revised Business Continuity Program Overview, as we normally do each year. The overview document will provide updated details on our Business Continuity strategy, including the benefits of moving to Microsoft Azure.
