Homeowner Enrollment in Self-Serve Options Booms in 2022

We’re committed to providing the very best customer experience for your homeowners, and a large part of that is ensuring it’s easy for them to conduct business with us however, whenever and wherever they choose.

It’s why we offer programs like paperless billing, so that working with us is even more convenient for your homeowners. And we’re thrilled to see people are taking advantage, having hit the major milestone this fall of 1 million homeowners subscribed to paperless billing.

We’ve already seen what a bit of education can do. Thanks to initiatives like the paperless and autopay awareness campaign that has featured on our CenNet homeowner website since March 2022, as well as emails sent directly to homeowners as part of our Welcome Program, we’ve increased the number of homeowners enrolled in paperless from 24% at the start of the year to nearly 40%. During the same time period, we’ve also seen increases in the percentage of homeowners registered for CenNet (78% from 72% in January 2022) and autopay (46% from 42%).

This is just the start. We’ll continue to educate your homeowners about the tools at their disposal, through avenues like CenNet, emails and our IVR, with the hope that even more will take advantage of the programs available to them.

Happy Holidays from Cenlar: Important Year-End Information

On behalf of everyone at Cenlar, we wish you a very happy holiday season.

Cenlar will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022 in observance of Christmas and on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 in observance of New Year’s Day.

  • All work submitted to Payments, Payoffs and Bank Operations/ACH must be submitted to the departments either in paper form or via the appropriate e-mail box prior to noon ET on Friday, Dec. 23.  This includes but is not limited to: paper wires/ACH transactions, corporate processing, check deposits, stop payment/putback requests, and cash/non-cash processing forms. Regular processing deadlines will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
  • Any files received on Monday, Dec. 26 will be processed the night of Tuesday, Dec. 27. Output will be available the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 28. Likewise, any files received on Monday, Jan. 2 will be processed the night of Tuesday, Jan. 3, with output available the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 4.
  • Year-end processing will occur at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 31. All branch payment files will need to be delivered to Cenlar by noon on Saturday, Dec. 31. Files will deliver by Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.
  • In lieu of sending out client gifts this year, Cenlar will make donations on behalf of our clients to our partner food banks: Mercer Street Friends in Trenton, New Jersey, and St. Mary’s Food Bank in Tempe, Arizona. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership in 2023.

Year-End Homeowner Campaign Begins This Week

This week, your homeowners started receiving emails from us to proactively inform them of what to expect come tax season.

The first of these messages lets homeowners know that we’ll alert them as soon as their Form 1098 is available online, and to expect an email from us in January 2023 that contains a direct link to their 1098. Images of 1098 forms will be available in your homeowners’ Document Centers starting on Tuesday, Jan 10, 2023.

We also will begin nesting 1098s with printed billing statements on the same date, Jan. 10. All 1098 forms, regardless of whether a homeowner is enrolled in paperless or still receives printed statements, will be sent to homeowners by Jan. 31, 2023.

Now Updated on CenAccess: List of Emails We’ve Sent Homeowners This Month

We have posted a list on CenAccess of all of the emails that we send to homeowners.

To access this list, go to the Training & Reference menu on CenAccess, and select “User Manuals.” The file name is “Email Listing for Clients 12.15.22”.

This file will be updated with the most-recent list of homeowner emails once each month.
