Top Takeaways from the Cenlar Client Summit

Thank you to everyone that made our Cenlar Client Summit earlier this month a huge success. Our team from Cenlar thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to join with client partners, sponsors and speakers for three days to share ideas, challenge assumptions, listen, strengthen relationships and enjoy time with each other.

There were many great ideas exchanged during the summit. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • The Blueprint. We’re delivering on our promise to our clients in two ways – simplifying the servicing journey and making it transparent and prioritizing and executing so that clients are always confident in the experience we’re delivering.
  • The Foundation. Our tools allow us to analyze homeowner interactions to get a 360-degree view into the voice of the homeowner that drives how we continue to enhance their experience.
  • The Support Beams for the Smart House. We’re fulfilling our promise of certainty, efficiency and transparency to clients. We see AI as more than just a tool. It’s about value of clients and homeowners first.
  • The Roof. It’s our responsibility as stewards of homeownership to provide meaningful support to homeowners from the start of their loan journey through the end, and all the moments in-between.

If you couldn’t make it to the summit (or simply want to relive it), we’ll be sharing more from what we covered at the summit in the weeks to come here and on our LinkedIn account.

OCC Preemption Determination: 91 FR 29350 – State Interest-on-Escrow Laws

The OCC has issued a final rule to make a preemption determination concerning state interest-on-escrow laws, which became effective on June 18, 2026 and only impacts federal savings associations and national banks. The OCC has determined that federal law, namely the National Bank Act, preempts state laws that restrict the flexibility of OCC-regulated banks to decide whether and to what extent to pay interest on escrow accounts or assess fees in connection with such accounts. The OCC finds that state interest-on-escrow laws prevent or significantly interfere with critical flexibility granted to banks under the National Bank Act.
