“Ghost” Vulnerability
The GHOST vulnerability is a serious weakness in the Linux glibc library. It allows attackers to remotely take complete control of the victim system without having any prior knowledge of system credentials. Here at Cenlar we do not utilize Linux or the identified vulnerable OS vendor versions associated with Ghost Vulnerability except for certain third party hardened “appliance” solutions in use.
As part of our ongoing Vulnerability Management Process, we recently assessed our technology environment and found no evidence of vulnerability to the “Ghost” exploit. As such, the Ghost vulnerability does not currently present any significant risk for Cenlar or to our support of you our client.
