Cenlar understands the
care you take as the steward of original loan documents. To that end, we want
to let you know that we have recently seen an increased volume of original loan
documents being sent to several of our locations. Please know that after closing,
original documents, including Notes, Mortgages, Deeds of Trusts, Title
Policies, etc… should be sent to your Document Custodian and not to
Cenlar or any of our vendors.
Documents received by our
electronic imaging mail room are scanned and imaged. Paper documents are then
automatically staged for shredding. Therefore, original documents may be
destroyed if sent to Cenlar in error.
Please remind your closing
agents and title companies of this policy and ask them to remove all Cenlar
addresses from their records. We would not want important loan documents to be
lost due because they were sent to us in error.
