Three Cenlar Leaders to Speak at MBA Servicing Solutions
Heading to the MBA Servicing Solutions Conference & Expo, Feb. 16–19? Make sure to catch insights from three of our senior leaders as they take the stage to discuss the future of mortgage servicing and cybersecurity.
Chief Operating Officer Leslie Peeler will be taking part in a panel, titled Leadership Lens – The Future of Servicing on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Leslie and fellow industry leaders will explore the most pressing challenges facing mortgage servicers today – from evolving regulatory and compliance demands to rapid technological change and shifting customer expectations. The discussion will also highlight emerging risks, including AI adoption, property insurance trends, cybersecurity concerns and loan performance dynamics.
On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Chief Information Security Officer Jason Shockey will participate on a panel, Protecting Your Portfolio – Cybersecurity Threats and Safeguards for Servicers. This session will examine risk landscape facing single-family mortgage servicers, from data breaches and ransomware to third-party and operational vulnerabilities. Jason and fellow panelists will share practical strategies for strengthening defenses, safeguarding borrower data, meeting regulatory expectations and building operational resilience.
Senior Vice President of Core Operations Jackie Torres will also be speaking on a panel on Wednesday, titled Demystifying Escrows – Communicating Increases without the Borrower Confusion. Increasing tax and insurance escrows continue to be one of the most confusing aspects of the mortgage experience for borrowers. This session explores how servicers are re-thinking escrow communications – from explaining escrow balances to presenting an annual escrow analysis – to boost borrower confidence and reduce call center volume. Hear what’s working, what’s not and what more can be done.
COO Leslie Peeler Appointed to MISMO Board of Directors
COO Leslie Peeler has been appointed to the MISMO Board of Directors. MISMO (Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization) has standardized how the mortgage industry communicates. Using MISMO’s standards lowers per-loan costs, increases margins, reduces errors, and accelerates the loan process.
MISMO serves as a primary hub where lenders, servicers, regulators, insurance and guarantee agencies, GSEs and technology providers collaborate. Our team at Cenlar has been ongoing participants in MISMO’s workgroups and regular educational efforts. The MISMO workgroup (a Community of Practice (COP) or a Development Workgroup (DWG)) enables peers from the mortgage banking industry to participate and lend their voices directly to the standards development process. Our team has contributed to several workgroups, including the Fed Housing Servicing Agency DWG, Servicing Transfers DWG, Servicing COP and Artificial Intelligence (AI) COP.
Cenlar’s participation in the educational offerings and workgroups is a testament to our team’s commitment to creating essential standards to accelerate the industry’s digital future.
Year-end Statements Now Available
Tax form 1098 (Mortgage Interest Statement) is now available for download via the homeowner web site. For homeowners receiving paper statements, copies will be mailed to them on January 31.

New Enhancements to CenAccess
We have made several updates to CenAccess designed to introduce new capabilities, streamline navigation and improve overall efficiency.
The enhancement highlights include:
- Cenlar Recapture Powered by Ardley Access. Clients enrolled in Cenlar’s Recapture Service powered by Ardley can now access the Ardley website directly through Portfolio Insights. A new tile has been added to the Dashboards tab for quick access.
Benefits of the Recapture Program include:
Data Analytics. Analyzing homeowner data to pinpoint customers looking to refinance elsewhere.
Real-Time Eligibility. Provides instant, personalized loan offers with live pricing, identifying eligible homeowners even with sudden rate shifts.
Automated Engagement. The system automates outreach via existing lender channels (email, text) with personalized links, streamlining the application process.
Seamless Integration. The platform integrates with existing Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and CRMs, enhancing, not replacing, current tools.
Cenlar also offers traditional recapture offerings, including dynamic, digital homeowner messaging, statement marketing and call center agent prompts for new loan offerings.
If your organization has not yet contracted for the Cenlar Recapture Service program, please contact your client manager for additional information.
- Support Page Improvements. The Support page, which is accessible from both the main Client Portal and within Portfolio Insights, has been updated. Links to individual applications have been removed, as these applications are now accessible directly through the Client Portal. A new section highlights available On Demand services, providing the fastest path to the information you need and reducing the need to submit CCM tickets.
- Unified Login Experience. We have simplified access by consolidating the previous two login screens into a single, streamlined login page.
- Portfolio Insights Daily & Monthly Report Retirement. The legacy daily and monthly .xls reports have been removed from the Reports tab. The information on these reports is accessible via the Portfolio Insights dashboard on the main page.
