Client Bulletin: March 4, 2024

As we announced in the last Client Bulletin, we are planning to introduce enhanced security for our CenAccess application through the addition of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) later this year. We’re sharing this news again, as it’s important to the way you and your organization interact with us.

MFA validation will be facilitated through the Microsoft (MS) Authenticator App. Once Cenlar activates MFA on CenAccess in either Q2 or Q3 of this year, users will need to download the Authenticator application to their mobile device and use it to perform MFA in order to access CenAccess. The MS Authenticator App is available in both the Apple App and Google Play stores via your mobile device at no cost.

On launch date, CenAccess users will receive a temporary password with guidance on how to setup and access CenAccess via MFA. After initial validation and on an ongoing basis upon CenAccess login, users will be provided a one-time code via the MS Authenticator App for additional authentication to enable login.

We are providing this information in advance of activation so that you can prepare your processes and users. However, Cenlar clients do not need to do much in preparation for this enhancement. You will need to alert your technology teams to enable your CenAccess users to download the MS Authenticator App onto their mobile devices, and inform CenAccess users of the coming enhancement and the need to download the app during the activation process. We will provide user setup instructions and reference materials to assist your CenAccess users through the process.

As we finalize details further, we will share with you the MFA activation date and process details.

Document Center to Undergo Maintenance March 16-17

In order to maintain a stable, high availability environment, our homeowner Document Center will undergo maintenance and updates at 9 p.m. ET Saturday, March 16 until Sunday, March 17 at 6 a.m. ET. Homeowners attempting to access the Doc Center during this window may be unable to do so.

We will be posting a banner on the CenNet homeowner website during this period to alert homeowners that their Doc Center may not be available, and to try again later if they encounter issues.

New CCM User Guide Available on CenAccess

As a handy companion as you navigate CCM, a new CCM user guide has been posted to CenAccess as a reference tool for CCM end-users.

This guide, located on CenAccess under Training > CCM, contains information needed for daily use, including screen shots and process guidance for submitting and managing CCM tickets. This new guide augments our existing training module, which is also available on CenAccess for new CCM users.

Cenlar in the News: Josh Reicher on Digital Transformation

At Cenlar, we’re confident that as we continue to transform our organization we’re also evolving mortgage servicing as a whole. Much of that transformation comes in the technology space, where Chief Digital Officer Josh Reicher is one of the many leaders at Cenlar pushing our organization and industry forward.

National Mortgage News interviewed Reicher about his role in this mission and how servicing’s use of technology compares to the broader business landscape.
